We are delighted to announce the appointment of Duncan Pound to the role of Area Sales Manager, covering the West of England.
Duncan joins the Standen Engineering sales team with a wide range of experience of root crop handling machinery and has worked for some successful agricultural engineering companies.
Duncan grew up in a farm contracting background in North Herefordshire. Upon finishing school Duncan pursued a manufacturing apprenticeship at McConnels in Ludlow, where he gained a vast knowledge of engineering processes. Returning back to his roots, he worked for a potato farmer near Leominster, followed by a period at Irish baler and wrapper specialist, McHale Engineering. He then undertook a winter at a large scale contractor in New Zealand after which he found himself wanting to return to the UK potato game. Having recently completed a potato harvest, Duncan is readily committed to the job in hand with a deep understanding of customers’ requirements.
