Standen Engineering are delighted to announce the appointment of Shrewsbury firm, Battlefield Machinery Limited as their Service and Parts Centre in the west of England. Battlefield will take responsibility for supporting Standen customers in all aspects of service, parts and maintenance of Standen and Standen Reflex potato machinery. The east of England, northern England and Scotland are covered by service depots at Standen head office in Ely and Burrelton in Perthshire respectively.
UK West and Export Sales Director Martyn Gardner said: "We are pleased to welcome Battlefield Machinery, we are always looking to improve the service we provide for our customers and ensuring our western growers can benefit from a local service is key to this."
Battlefield Machinery is a relatively new company, being founded in January 2017 at the previous Ravenhill Shrewsbury site, both the directors Richard Evan and Meyrick Pope have years of industry experience, Richard was a previous Ravenhill employee who spent four years at the Kverneland Group (UK) Ltd (part of the Kubota Corporation), and Meyrick Pope, was the former branch manager of Ravenhill. Director Richard Evans said “Whilst Battlefield Machinery is a new business, the team has years of industry experience and we now plan to utilise this and shape our business to provide a service that we know the county wants and needs. "
In addition to the Standen range Battlefield also sells Kubota and Kverneland Implements, Vicon sprayers, Marshall Trailers, McConnell range of equipment, Pichon spreading equipment and the range from Browns Engineering.
